Choline
Choline plays a vital role in the baby’s brain and neural tube development. It supports healthy placental function and helps with memory and cognitive development.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C supports immune function and collagen formation for healthy skin and tissues. It also enhances iron absorption, helping maintain healthy blood levels during pregnancy. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects cells from oxidative stress.

Magnesium (Bisglycinate)
Magnesium bisglycinate is a gentle, highly absorbable form that supports the nervous system. It helps regulate neurotransmitters like GABA to promote calm and ease stress or tension. This form also supports muscle relaxation and better sleep quality.

Magnesium (Citrate)
Magnesium citrate supports energy production and healthy nerve function. It also promotes gentle digestive regularity, which is helpful during pregnancy
Iron (Bisglycinate)
Iron bisglycinate is a gentle form that is easy on the stomach and highly absorbable. It helps prevent fatigue and supports healthy red blood cell production. Unlike traditional iron forms, it reduces the risk of constipation or nausea.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E protects cell membranes and supports healthy placental development. It acts as an antioxidant to reduce oxidative stress for both mother and baby. Mixed tocopherols offer a more complete and natural vitamin E profile.

Vitamin B3
Niacinamide helps convert food into energy for both mother and baby. It supports healthy skin, nervous system function, and cellular metabolism. This form is gentle and does not cause flushing.

Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 supports adrenal function and natural stress response during pregnancy. It helps with hormone production and energy metabolism. It also assists in the synthesis of important pregnancy-supportive nutrients.

Zinc
Zinc picolinate is a highly absorbable form that supports immune and reproductive health. It contributes to DNA synthesis and cellular growth for the baby’s development. It also supports maternal tissue repair and wound healing.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 supports healthy fetal brain development and helps regulate mood and nervous system function during pregnancy. It also plays a key role in reducing nausea and morning sickness symptoms. By supporting neurotransmitter balance, it promotes overall maternal wellbeing.

Vitamin B2
This active form of B2 supports energy production and nutrient metabolism. It plays a key role in red blood cell support and fetal growth. It also contributes to healthy skin, eyes, and nervous system function.

Vitamin B1
Thiamine helps convert carbohydrates into usable energy for mother and baby. It supports the nervous system and cognitive function. It also plays a role in muscle and heart function during pregnancy.

Manganese
Manganese supports the development of bones and connective tissues in the growing baby. It also assists in collagen production for healthy skin and joints. This gentle form is well tolerated during pregnancy.

Copper
Copper supports red blood cell production and iron metabolism. It plays a role in the development of the baby's heart and blood vessels. It also contributes to antioxidant protection.

Beta Carotene
Beta carotene is a safe, plant-based form of vitamin A and essential for vision and immune health. It supports healthy cell growth and fetal organ development. The body converts it to vitamin A as needed, preventing excess intake.

Folate
This is the most absorbable form of folate, ideal for women with MTHFR variations. It supports neural tube development in the earliest stages of pregnancy. It also promotes healthy methylation and cell division.

Vitamin B7
Biotin supports healthy hair, skin and nails during pregnancy. It plays a role in energy metabolism and nutrient use. It also supports fetal growth at the cellular level.

Iodine
Iodine is essential for thyroid hormone production, which drives the baby’s brain development. It supports maternal metabolism and energy regulation. Adequate iodine helps ensure healthy neurological growth.

Vitamin K2
Vitamin K2 helps direct calcium into bones and teeth rather than soft tissues. It works synergistically with vitamin D3 for skeletal development.

Chromium
Chromium picolinate helps regulate blood sugar and insulin levels. This supports steady maternal energy and reduces energy crashes. Balanced glucose levels also support a healthy pregnancy environment.

Selenium
Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that supports thyroid health and immunity. It protects maternal and fetal cells from oxidative stress.

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 supports bone development, immune function, and calcium absorption. It also plays a role in mood balance and hormone regulation. Most women are deficient, so supplementation is especially beneficial.

Vitamin B12
Methylcobalamin is the most active form of B12 for nervous system support. It helps with red blood cell formation and prevents fatigue. It also supports fetal brain and neural development.

Q. What is this prenatal supplement and who is it for?
A. This prenatal supplement is scientifically formulated for women who are planning to conceive, are currently pregnant, postpartum or are breastfeeding. It provides the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients needed to support both maternal health and fetal development.
Q. When should I start taking a prenatal supplement?
A. You should start taking a prenatal supplement at least 3 months before conception. This helps build nutrient stores and supports early fetal development.
Q. Can I take this supplement while breastfeeding?
A. Yes. Nutrient needs remain high during breastfeeding, and this prenatal formula is suitable for supporting postpartum recovery and milk production.
Q. What makes this prenatal supplement different from others?
A. Our prenatal contains bioavailable and highly absorbable nutrient forms such as methylated folate (vitamin B9), methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), magnesium bisglycinate, iron bisglycinate, zinc picolinate, and choline bitartrate - ingredients chosen for optimal absorption and gentler digestion, especially important during pregnancy.
Q. Why is choline included and why is it important?
A. Choline is a key nutrient in prenatal and postnatal care, playing an essential role in fetal brain development, memory formation, and neural tube health. It continues to be important during breastfeeding, supporting healthy brain and cognitive development in infants. While choline is often overlooked in prenatal formulas or included only in minimal, ineffective amounts, we have included a meaningful, research-backed dose of highly bioavailable choline bitartrate.
Q. Why does this prenatal use methylated folate instead of folic acid?
A. Methylated folate (the active form) is more easily absorbed and utilised by the body - especially for women with the common MTHFR gene variant, who cannot efficiently convert folic acid. This supports early neural tube development and reduces risk of deficiency.
Q. Is the iron gentle on the stomach?
A. Yes. We use iron bisglycinate, a chelated form of iron known for - better absorption, reduced constipation and nausea, and lower risk of digestive upset compared to ferrous sulfate
Q. Why are there two forms of magnesium?
A. We include magnesium bisglycinate for relaxation, sleep support, and muscle comfort, and magnesium citrate for support with constipation, which is common during pregnancy and postpartum.
Q. Is this prenatal suitable for women before and after pregnancy?
A. Absolutely. Herology Pre & Postnatal Multinutrient is designed to support you and your baby from trimester 0 (the three months before conception) all the way through to trimester 4 (3 months postpartum) and beyond.
Q. Is it safe for sensitive stomachs or morning sickness?
A. Yes. The supplement was designed with pregnancy digestion in mind. Taking it with food or before bed can further help reduce nausea if you’re especially sensitive. It includes a healthy dose of vitamin B6, in its most bioavailable form, Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate, which is proven to reduce nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
Q. How should I take it?
A. You need to take 3 capsules per day. These can be taken all at once, which is recommended to ensure consistency, or if you are experiencing nausea, you can take one capsule at three different times throughout the day, alongside food.
Q. Does this supplement contain synthetic fillers or artificial additives?
A. No. Our prenatal is free from any artificial colors, fillers, binders, bulking agents or preservatives.
Q. Can I take this alongside other Herology supplements?
A. Yes, you can take it alongside Herology ZEN and/or COLLAGEN.
Q. If I am post-partum, should I take this or Herology BALANCE?
A. We recommend Herology Pre & Post Natal Multinutrient for preconception, pregnancy, postpartum.
We recommend you take Herology BALANCE in place of our Pre & Post Natal Multinutient, if you are preconception or postpartum and you struggle with anxiety/mood.
